The Top Teacher Bags You Need This School Year
As a teacher, you know that when you choose from all of the teachers bags that your bag is going to be much more than just an accessory—it’s your command center. You’re always hauling papers, laptops, lunch, and a million other things between school and home.
It can be a real struggle to choose one of the many teachers bags. It need to be one that’s big enough to hold everything, comfy to carry, and stylish too. Don’t worry, I have your back! Let’s check out the best bags that will make your life a whole lot easier this school year.

Kah & Kee Backpack
When it comes to teacher bags, I first want to start with a couple backpacks I love including this one because I use it every day!
I think I randomly found this Kah & Kee backpack online and I liked this version that looked like leather so it was a little dressier than a canvas or fabric backpack. I used it for school daily last year, took it on the train for a weekend in New York City, and it was my carry on during my summer 2024 trip to San Diego.
It fits a lot, is very durable, this faux leather one is water resistant, and it has a cool laptop sleeve in the back with a special back zipper!
I also love that it has a feature that when you open it, it stays open! Check it out.
This is my favorite of all the teacher bags, and it’s obvious since I also bought a version in black denim for when I want something that looks a little more casual. They have tons of color and fabric options by the way.
Osprey Commuter Backpack
I looked at the Osprey Daylite Commuter Backpack for this post. Why? Well I bought their larger backpack to use as my carry on for my trip to Hawaii and it is the best carry on backpack I have ever owned! It is probably the best backpack I have period but. a little big for stuff taking to and from school.
Well, this Daylite Commuter backpack has a 4.7 rating on Amazon, which is pretty amazing, has tons and tons of great reviews AND comes in multiple colors and prints including a cute floral print. I found this Bagsmart Tote Bag when I was looking for (and bought) an amazing toiletry bag from them. Check here if you want an amazing hanging toiletry bag for traveling.
Bagsmart knows what they are doing. This has a side pocket, back pocket, an inner zipper pocket and a section for your laptop. Plus, it might have the best color selection of the teacher bags – 14 colors and 2 sizes, too!
Bagsmart Puffy Tote Bag
Yes it’s another teacher bags option from Bagsmart. Puffy totes are all the rage so why not try this tote bag? It is lightweight (.99 lbs), quilted, I counted 4 pockets and a laptop sleeve section! Amazon reviews average 4.7 which looks like an amazing rating!
I saw 17 color choices and a slim version of the bag too (though a slim bag might not fit all of our teacher stuff, right?)

Herschel Tote
Okay, we are getting to the end of the best teacher bags! Let’s talk about the Hershel Supply Co Tote, which I own, along with their mini backpack. I used this tote for awhile before I got the Kah & Kee Backpack.
Here’s mine – it’s about 5 years old so it has a little wear and tear but still looks good overall to me!
Why did I like the Herschel Tote? The fabric is sturdy and water resistant, and the bag is plenty big without being overwhelming. It feels a little less wide then some of the other totes. It is made from sustainable materials, AND can be machine washed! How handy.
