Its been busy around here (to put it mildly). I was trying really hard to finish up a summer themed pack for my 2nd graders. I plan to use it at school, but I figure you could probably also send it home with your students for them to do over the summer to keep some skills fresh, or parents could download it themselves. The pack includes my Summer Antonym Fun game cards, 3 differentiated levels of a rhyming activity, writing prompts, and some skill work including reality/fantasy, predicting, and a couple other things. Here are a couple pictures from it. You will be able to get it from both my Teachers Pay Teachers and Teachers Notebook shops. If you click on the first picture, it will take you to my TPT store.I’ll also attach a link for the free preview of this product which you will find at the end of this post! Keep reading!
Here are some of the words from set 2 of the rhyming activity. Set 1 has slightly easier words and set 2 has harder words.
This is one of the record sheets where students would glue the rhymes.
My Summer Antonym Fun is included in this (it otherwise is a separate paid product) and this is a card game that can be played at least 2 ways.
In addition, I was lucky enough to do a guest post over at HoJo’s Teaching Adventures! It includes a Memorial Day themed freebie so go over and check it out. If you click on the image below it will take you to the post, but also feel free to click her button below and check out all the other great stuff she has to offer!
Finally, as promised, if you’d like a free preview of the Swimming into Summer Reading and Writing Pack, you can hop over to TPT and grab it. I’ll also be linking this up to Classroom Freebies and Friday Freebies! Yay! Click on the picture below.
