This bundle of seven writing resources includes 229 pages of writing prompts, checklists, and writing paper options for the entire year! Included are activities for opinion, narrative, expository and friendly letter writing. Check it out here (or click on the image to learn more) Seasonal resources include fall, spooky, holiday, Valentine’s Day, winter, spring, and a set of use anytime prompts! It will be 35% off from August 14th-19th so make sure to take advantage!

Tip 2: Try a Freebie

If you want a freebie to help you implement back to school writing, try this differentiated set of 13 writing prompts. Each prompt has been differentiated to be appropriate for students ages 6-9 (or first grade, second grade and third grade)! Also included are checklists for accountability and a variety of lined paper – or you can use your own classroom paper, or students can write in a writing notebook.

You can use at least one a month, and some months will have two. They would be great for bell ringers, morning work, writing workshop, reading centers, and independent practice.
